The old building dates from 1866, just a block away from Sveavagen, right in the middle of Stockholm. The atmosphere of the 19th century is still to be witnessed in the old, brick-vaults in the basement and in the staircase. Otherwise it is only the broad pine tree planks on the wooden floor that reveals the building's old age. The hotel only has got a staffed front desk a couple of hours in the morning and in the evening.
